Nikos Mpouyioukas is a filmmaker, photographer and writer based in Athens, Greece. He studied at the Hellenic Cinema & Television School Stavrakos while also completing a degree in Business Administration. In 2021, he moved to Berlin to attend the postgraduate programme at MetFilm School.
His short film "City of Lost Souls" has been screened internationally, including at the Manchester Film Festival and the Newport Beach Film Festival, and has received awards in the USA, UK, and Greece. His dance film "Gloria" was selected for the 15th Aesthetica International Short Film Festival.
Beyond fiction, Nikos explores diverse forms of visual storytelling, such as video dance, music videos, and video art. He is currently based in Athens, developing new projects that continue his interest in human connection and the life of the contemporary city.
